Frag Acquisitions

SWMBO got bottles of CK Free for myself, DS, and daughter's boyfriend for Christmas. She likes it, and I don't dislike it, so it is good enough.

A Christmas present from my wife, a heavily discounted (from TK Maxx) Floris 12 days of Christmas set.

After reading a lot of accolades for the Spanish Leather scent, in general, I decided to try it. Found this T & H version with 30% discount. After the first spray my LOTH compared it to Denim, or Old Spice and said that it will be more appropriate for a little bit older men...Not the feedback I expected. Have to check with the colleagues now:) Greetings, gents!

First pick up of 24’. A tester of Eau Givree by Hermes & Guerlain Les Absolus d’Orient Santal Royal. The Guerlain is just a back up purchase as the deal was just too good to turn it down from an online fragrance discounter. The Hermes was one that I was squatting on for sometime and when I saw the tester heavily discounted, it was over in under 10 seconds from select, add to cart & pay. Fragrancebuy.ca has some great, great deals Gents and Ladies.

Another decent discount fragrance online retailer. I had to get a back up of the 200ml. Issey Miyake as they had a Valentine’s Day special a few days back, dirt cheap. The Bottega Veneta Illusione is new to me but, overall I enjoy the offerings from this house. The Kenzo is my 2nd foray with creator Quintin Bisch as the eau de parfum version was a hit for me. We shall see with the edt Intense version. All super affordable to be honest.

The seasons are turning and my work scent which has been since around October Drakar Noir now seems a little too heavy for the increasingly lighter mornings. So as my all time fave scent is Eau Sauvage, I've had a look at some cheaper ways of filling the work scent criteria. Now I pair the AS variant when I shave with Arko soap. So as it was under £25 with p+p for 100ml I thought why not.

I just saw this was discontinued and grabbed a couple bottles. Excellent old school 80’s fragrance that still hold up today. It reminds me of Tom Ford Beau de Jour but at 1/10th of the price.

$20/125ml at Fragrancebuy. Will likely sell out quick as the discontinuation info is just starting to get out there.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I remembered sampling and finding it too sweet.

Too one-note sweet for me. - - -

Getting more spice vs. Tom Ford Beau de Jour.

Spice sounds good; time to revisit, likely.

Several eBay sellers also have the 125 ml up at around $22, shipped.

Still $22 on the Amazon. Just ordered aa backup. Don’t use it often, but, don’t want to be without it.

I also have and love Beau de Jour… I’ve never gotten the similarity myself. I’ve read that many people do on the fragrance sites, but, they are much different to me.

Thanks for the heads-up on the discontinuation!
