Found my favorite razor! So far.

I bought a gold plated 30's Gillette New here from the B/S/T about a week ago. This is one good looking razor. It has majority of its plating left and is in great shape. I like the weight of it as well. Well this morning, I shaved with it for the first time. Fantastic shave! The blade is exposed more than any of my other razors, which at first scared me, but now I see it only makes it better. I've been having issues with my neck lately, and the only way to get a decent shave was to cause a lot of irritation from multiple passes. Well, with this razor, I was able to get a DFS shave, with no nicks or irritation on my neck. SO glad I purchased this! Now my tough decision is whether to leave it with that gorgeous gold plating, or get it replated so it'll be even shinier.

Soon? I'm already looking for my next purchase! Lol. I said it was my favorite so far, but not that I'm done trying them out! I'm thinking I'll get an adjustable next....Or maybe a slant.

Yeah it's terrible, just when you think you're set up is tight... you go and purchase another 10 razors.
It's a tough life but someones gotta do it ;P

I had my one favorite until I tried a different razor. Then that new one became my favorite. This went on for 5 or 6 more. After trying quite a few I settled on the slant as my favorite. I stayed with the slant for some time until I looked at my original favorite, the Merkur 1904 sitting unused in my rack. So I gave it another shave, and yep that 1904 is now my favorite DE, AGAIN. Its probably a hopeless battle, but I'm in it to win it.

Yup. It's a nice razor. It did not exactly kill my RAD, however. My affection for the NEW led me to buy more NEWs (there are many of them):
