First use of my Saville Row 3722 Silvertip

Hi Everyone,

So I received my new Saville Row 3722 silvertip brush from Charles @ QEDUSA last night. Charles was very helpful in assisting me in the picking of a new brush based on the criteria I had (not floppy, solid backbone, soft tips, long handle). He tolerated all my newbie questions with grace! :) I primarily bowl lather and am waiting on my Dirty Bird 1.5 scuttle to come in, so I wanted something with a nice longer handle that wouldn't get "lost" in the bowl if you will...

So I played around with the brush late last night and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only other brush experience has been the brush I started on, my Edwin Jagger 21mm Best Badger Brush. The Saville Row performs 100x better than my Edwin Jagger in my opinion. I absolutely love it already! I put the Edwin Jagger back in the drawer and will be using the SR3722 solely from now on (at least until the SBAD kicks in again and I go with a Rooney 3/1 or a Shavemac! ).

The SR3722 is a very nice brush. The tips are incredibly soft, but the backbone is very sturdy. It did not feel floppy at all like my EJ does when it gets all lathered up. It whipped up a lather nicely, and the brush is very dense in comparison to my EJ. Here are some pics with the brushes side by side, top view to see the density comparison, the SR3722 lathered up, and the brush after I'd used it.

Enjoy!
