First time using my SOC Mistura

I ordered a Cherry Wood Mistura and hoping for it to arrive in the next few days. I’ve had my eye on this for some time.

Wow, the grain on that handle gorgeous! Seriously, it’s nicer than their display models

The Mistura is a phenomenal brush, and reasonbly priced. My favorite natural bristle brush by far.

That's what I thought when I first opened the package! It was an awesome surprise. Honestly I was expecting the same as my SOC Boar since that's made out of Cherry wood as well.

I'm seriously considering getting a Soc mistura
it seems that the tuft is shorter than the bristle soc?

Well I did get one, a butterscotch one I just have not posted it yet. The mistura tuft is 53mm. I don't own a bristle soc so I am not sure what their tuft is.

Bristle loft: 57 mm
Handle height: 57 mm

Knot diameter: 24 mm
Bristle loft: 53 mm
Handle height: 55 mm

Four straight days using shaving with the Mistura and will make it five for its inaugural Tabac Tuesday.

Yes, the data is exact, even by eye in the photo you could see the difference in length of the bristles
I really like the cherry handle

you also have to get a bristle Soc...if you have mistura you can do without the badger Soc

That was definitely my intention! I do have experience with one Badger brush. I like the feel but what it lacks is a good boar backbone. For me, the Mistura solved that problem.

In hindsight, I wish I had been able to keep both the Finest and Mistura and am also sorry I missed one of their silvertip LE offerings from a few years ago. They would have made a great team. I'm very impressed with Semogue.
