I was lucky to get a NOS injector from prophetic_joe as he had some left. I started the single edge journey with an EverSharp 1912 and I decided to also try the injector. I was never a fan of adjustables so when I got the opportunity to get an L4, I jumped on it.

I received it yesterday and the razor was packaged, from the Schick manufacture, in a tin where I needed a can opener. I had 1 pack of twin blades with it, the injector, some instructions and a 15 cents rebate on my next Injector blade purchase! :w00t:

The shave was fantastic, I can't fault it. It did feel like it was a bit like a cartridge. Probably because of the handle but it's not. The shave was very smooth and everything is much easier than I thought. The blade slides in very easily. The blade angle was easy to find. BBS shave on first try.

Pictures will be posted this week-end.

You're lucky that you snagged one for free, especially an L type. I'm still on the prowl for one. I recently made a thread about a vintage E-Type I got just the other day, which I have yet to shave with. Glad you enjoyed your shave, and you're only making me more excited to use mine!

The first of many excellent shaves!

Congrats!
It is on the mild side, so I got on of those for my wife's rig.
It had to be NOS, sealed, otherwise she wouldn't have touched it with a 10ft pole. When we popped the can, we got a whiff of 70's air freshener:)

I has many of these injectors and the L series is my fave. I used it on my head shave because it is so smooth and i don't trust any other razor on my head. The shave process does feel like your using a Disposable razor but the end result proves otherwise. I love these injectors for those hurry up days.

I did not get the razor for free but I am very happy that I bought it! I think that the SE is better over the injector but, I got to agree with Alex, the injector is superfast and supereasy to use. If I'm in a hurry, that's the one. It's mild and I don't think I can easily cut myself with it (not saying that cutting myself is impossible).
