It's the exact price difference between the Feather alone vs the package I think. So if you regret buying the package its an easy choice

I bought my Feather in a package without the stand. I soon bought a similar-to-factory stand and am satisfied with it. Had I been more certain of my choice when I got it, I would have gotten the razor and stand package.

Bought and sold over 100 razors??? Jeebus. I've probably owned 20 in 50+ years of shaving and I still have 10 (including an AS-D2).

Between DE rabbit hole first. Then moving to SR rabbit hole with all that gear. Now moving back to DE. Yes a lot of razors. A lot of help for members, buying all around the world. Now the latest British razor purchases. It’s been a ride. I now have four son in law’s that I have set up. Just trying to pass the tradition on. Just a few of many. But I can tell you what shaves the best for me. I don’t think it’s something you buy. It’s not the most expensive and it’s something you can’t buy It’s something you discover.

I've been shaving over 50 years. I bought an AS-D2 maybe 5-6 years ago and it's my favorite razor. I think I paid about $120 for it which seemed nuts at the time but there it is. It's essentially a ball end Tech in a larger, nicer package. The Ball End Tech is really just as a good a razor but less substantial (which is neither a pro or con). I have a Jagger DE89 and don't like it at all. Go figure...

My experience is the same as yours. Don't like the DE89, but the AS-D2 is my favorite. What a sweet shave!
