I cheated again, this time with my Delta Echo pre-war tech and the same Astra SP, now on 5th shave. It was a great shave. I'll be doing at least one more fatboy shave for the moneh.
Shave 10
1959 Gillette Fatboy on 5.
Derby Extra, day ten.
Proraso White pre shave cream.
Parker pure badger brush.
TOBS Mr. Taylor shave cream.
Lafe 6oz alum block.
Brut aftershave. Not the splash on. The full aftershave.
This blade truly keeps impressing me with its sharpness and how smooth it is. Again, I'm glad that I waited until my technique was down enough to test these out. There aren't any regrets, and I'll be putting them into regular rotation with my other blades.
Another 2.5 pass shave is behind me with the usual touch-up required in all the normal places. I also found out that my prep was to blame last shave. It could possibly be the fact that my Semogue 1800 is still breaking in. I'll likely move it to use every other shave for a couple of weeks and see how it performs then.

I finally finished the MWF. Good soap, but I missed my scents, and it did leave my face a little dry. Rare evening shave for me. The family wasn't home, and I took a nice long shave after a day full of hauling furniture to the church rummage sale, fixing the tire on the truck I borrowed to do it, then installing a new bluetooth stereo in my car. The shower felt so nice I decided to follow it up with a shave.
