Careful Monday morning shave. The FB's weight is perfect, I agree: nowadays can simply tell when a razor is too heavy (Maggard No.5) or light (Super Speed Black, Feather Pop, Knack) and FB seems to be the baseline weight.

Summer Storm makes you smell like dirt, used on purpose: this is an optimistic note in hope that spring is coming. Gawd knows the tornadoes are. Again.

Feb 22, shave #10

used the persona Med-Prep for the sixth time tonight, it's not pulling yet. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with the feathers.

quick two pass shave after a hot shower,
used a sample I received from ShaverHut it was Edwin Jager Lime and Pomegranate cream and ASB.
I liked the lime, but I've been leaning towards soaps more than creams lately.

otherwise the shave was the same as previous,
WTG,XTG above the jaw
WTG twice over below the jaw.

result was nice, perhaps better this time than last.
I'm going to keep The Virgin on 7 until this blade works no more, funny, I was shredding my face with the feather on 7, but it feels milder with the persona blade on 7.

A mighty fine shave on a fresh Voskhod blade. The Ice Wyrm lathered quite well with the OC Boar and the finish with Aloe is quite nice. I do seem to be finding a groove here.

What is the difference between these two?

I think the coatings are different at a minimum. I can definitely tell the difference. The blue wrappers are labs. Not my favorites. The others are the Platinums, which I've heard are the same as the Personna Reds, which I really enjoy.

Unfortunately, I'm becoming disenchanted with the VL brush. It's got a great feel and whips up a really nice lather, but it dropped 5+ hairs on a previous shave and 10+ on Sunday. I'm hoping that a weak part of the knot gave out and it will stop soon. If it doesn't, I'll try to get a replacement from VL, but as I got the brush in a passaround box, I'm not hopeful.

I really like the Fatboy set to 6 or 7. Great smooth shave without feeling the blade so much as when set at 9.​
