Face Latherer

I have been doing face lathering for a while now, since I can't seem to get a luscious "Mantic59" lather quality. I am agitated because I have seen ridiculously fluffy lathers from guys on videos. Troubled, but still have passion to learn.

Would a scuttle help? A better brush?

Practice.

The trick is to keep adding water slowly, in small amounts. A good lather can hold a lot more water than you'd think, but it gets runny when you start with too much water.

What kind of brush and soap are you currently using? A scuttle won't help you in any way when it comes to face lathering.
I don't always get over the top fluffy lather, but I get a good quality shaving lather which is all that really matters.

Hello, Kyle One Pass! Yeah! You and your laathers. Laughing.

What the? :confused1

I use a tweezerman cheapy badger brush. I have taconic cream that i can bowl lather with.

SAS Kirk, you ain't a never bowl laathered in your borough yet. Laughing.

I just did a three pass shave with taconic cream. I got the best lather in a bowl yet. It was fluffy lather! I just kept slowly adding water to the bowl. Patience was the key. I whipped probably for three minutes. Giddy!

when you think you have loaded the brush with enough soap, keep loading for another 30 seconds. If you are using creme then start with a damp brush, not dripping wet. And slowly add a drop of water at a time. whip, add water, whip, add water until the lather explodes.

Always best to have not enough water than to much.....unless you are using Cella, but that's another story.

You just told me on email that you are just going for SAS now with a 1-2 pass. That name will be inaccurate, Buck. Yeah! Laughing.
