What's new

Erasmic is awesome!

Just used it the other day and, holy cow. It was awesome!

So slick, so easy to lather. Such a good experience.

I didn't believe all the hype about it until I tried it myself.

the performance is good as is the scent. I found that it left a powdery residue on my brush, however. That's the only thing that kept it from becoming a huge favorite of mine.

The UK is sooo lucky to be able to just walk-in, go the shelf, and find this spectacular stuff anywhere ... and for such little money.

Absolutely top notch cream at a bargain price.
The scent of Erasmic is intoxicating :thumbup1:

Was the cream reformulated? I bought a tube last year and it was good stuff. Now I have a new tube, but I haven't tried it yet.

My only complaint is that I found I needed to use more cream with Erasmic to get good lather compared to some other creams. The scent is indeed very classic and barbershoppy. It would be nice if there was a matching Erasmic aftershave, preferably a low-alcohol splash with glycerin and witch hazel.

I also have the Erasmic glycerin soap in a bowl, which I've had for awhile but never got around to trying out.

If you like the slickness and texture of the Erasmic cream, try LEA shave cream. You can get it from shaveabuck.com. It performs even better than Erasmic, IMHO. The scent is more of a slightly floral soapy scent though.

I got one of the last tubes from Superlather, but thought he wasn't able to re-stock. Is there another source in the States?

I just got a tube of this for Christmas and absolutely love it. For the price I don't think it can be beat. I think that I could do with just Erasmic and Proraso and be a happy shaver.

I bought my two most recent tubes (which I have yet to use) from Westcoastshaving. They seem to have the best price on it ($3.75 per tube). I have seen no discussion on the boards about the cream being reformulated.

The tallow based shaving stick was indeed reformulated, and is now a disaster of a product.

I exchanged an email with Bestgroomingtools.com and they in turn contacted their distributors in England. They tell me that there will be a repackaging but there is no word on reformulation so the cream itself should remain the same and still be available. I'll miss the metal tube, but just as many seem to prefer the plastic ala TOBS and others.

I got a tube from BullGoose. Good stuff. Almond size makes plenty of lather. No I wish I had a badger brush to apply it. Scent is barbershoppy, but a little faint for me. I think I prefer TOBS barbershoppy scents. All around though very good cream.
