The postwar Tech I used today was slightly more efficient than the DE1/Tech II I used a week or so ago, I didn't use a Feather in it though.
How much does that Stahly weigh with the Atlas handle?

No fear with the Tech...

Protects as in cushion or face food or slick? I like both soaps, but haven't done any comparisions, and just wanting to make sure I know what you like about it so much.Switched back to VDH Deluxe for the past few shaves after using Pdp 63 for months and VDH is the clear winner. It could just be that VDH is softer and load easier, but it definitely protects my skin better for what I put my face through.

Ditto surprised. Thought I was done....I'm surprised!
Is there any chance you post some pics showing the base plate, gap/exposure etc.? You know, the good stuff lol

First shave on a fresh blade is fine, shave 3, I think it's starting to chatter a little. The blade is held tight with the cap and baseplate, but it looks like there's too much blade left unsupported.
I'll take more pictures when I get a chance. Here it is on an IKon bulldog handle.
Thanks.
I can see it has generous blade exposure with some blade gap but, theres a lot of blade reveal. I can see the amount of blade exposed by the too narrow cap allowing that blade to move around quite a bit while shaving.
If you dont mind using DE blades, you might try a new Fatip with the wider cap. The blade would be much more stable.
They didn't factor in the thin DE blade.
