E45 cream?

I was watching this video on you tube earlier of a Barber shaving a client.

One thing that caught my attention was that at 4:45 the Barber uses e45 cream just after the shave but before the aftershave was applied.

I've never heard of this before and I always assumed that e45 was used for treating skin complaints, I've never heard of it used as a post shave treatment before and can't find any reference to it on any shaving board. Has anyone else come across this? If so how effective is it?

As far as I know E45 is just a moisturising cream. It isn't so much used to treat skin conditions but it is supposedly better to use if someone does have a skin condition due to it being free of certain chemicals which might exacerbate the condition. That's how it was described to me by someone who I trust to know these things. I have a tub of it, but the label has fallen off so I can't tell you what the ingredients are. It's never occurred to me to use it as a post-shave moisturiser.
