Down to Three Stainless Razors Help!

Going to purchase a one of these three. ASD2 Feather, Ikon SB, or Tradere SB. Need
input on which one. Would like especially like any input on the new Feather and Ikon SB.
Help need to make a decision soon. :w00t:

I can't tell you anything about the Ikon or the Tradere as I have not used them yet. However, I have been using the Feather AS-D2 for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it.

What DE works well for you now? If you can get a good or better shave with a Super Speed or a Tech, then I would feel safe in seconding the Feather.
My AS-D1 with a Feather blade is the perfect razor for me.

I have the old Feather, the AS-D1. If you buy the Feather you should know that it is a very special razor. I demands an exact technique and if you have it right it rewards you with the most enjoyable shave you can imagine. The Feather transcends the common scale of mild to aggressive. I bought my Feather in the summer of 2010 when it appeared on the market. It has since the last 18 months become the one I reach for at least 80% of my shaves. I combine it with Ikon baseplates for the rest of my shaves. The Ikon SB is a very much more traditional aggressive razor. It might not work as the only daily razor for you. At least it would not work that way for me.

Why have you eliminated ATT? I think I have settled on the Titan R1 and am impatiently waiting for one to pop up on the B/S/T forum.

Tradere SB is the best razor I have ever used. The Feather is beautiful, but too mild for me. Someday I will gather up enough $$ to buy a Tradere OC ...

The Feather never worked for me...I couldn't find that "special" angle and I have a heavier beard and wanted something more aggressive. I'd personally recommend the Tradere or one of the razors from Above The Tie. Good luck!

I love both my AS-D2 and my Tradere SB (never used a Ikon), both are mild and very good shavers, I have a third SS razor that is equally good, a Weber DLC. I really don't mind if a razor is mild as long as the end result is a enjoyable and very good shave.

I have used the Feather AS-D1 for some time now, and would readily make it my only razor if I had to choose just one. The first several times I used it, I found that I had to adjust the angle of attack to get the best shave, but it quickly became second nature. I find a Feather blade to work best, an Iridium next. There is clear aural and tactile feedback to let you know when you have the angle right. I do switch back and forth between the D1 and an older Mühle R41, and use a Gillette NEW on occasion, and never find there to be any problem with using different angles and pressures with each. (My beard requires me to use some pressure to gain a long-lasting shave, and that is most painlessly done with the Feather.)
I plan to get a D2 to have a spare, and to see if there is really any difference between a "good" D1 and the new one.

My Tradere SB made me put the Feather ASD1 back in the closet. It's all I use now. I haven't any experience with the others on your list.

I am trying to find the perfect one so just decided to get all of the following razors, shave with them, and then sell the other on BST.

Ikon OSS
Ikon OC Deluxe
ATT Titan M1
Feather AS-D2

As of right now, it is going to come down to the ATT and Feather. Look for my Ikons shortly.

I have a Feather AS-D1 and can recommend it. I also own the Tradere SB and just got the TITAN R1 and Atlas M1 today. Obviously the ATT handles are interchangeable with the base plates.

I will give the ATT razors a try and will probably keep one of them but not sure if I'm keeping both. I am also using straights a lot more than I thought and I find it doesn't take any longer with a straight than with a DE.

@ Badger: The AS-D2 has the advantage as far as technical finishing is concerned but if I only consider the shaving part I would have to think long and hard to choose between the Feather and my Weber DLC (if I leave the price out of the picture). Haven't shaved with my Weber for a few weeks as I'm awaiting my UFO handle, instead I have been trying different blades with the Feather razor, in order of preference for me: Feather - Med Lab - Iridium work best.
