Did one of you guys get this?

Do people actually use vintage blades or are they for collectables?

If you did use them, and loved them, wouldn't it be annoying knowing you can't get them easily again? lol

I think some guys do use old stainless blades, at least on occasion -- old carbon blades aren't generally advisable to the modern shaver.

Wasn't me.

And I'd think the vintage blades -- at least, the pre-stainless steel ones -- wouldn't be too advisable for use at this late date. They probably go well in a collection, though.

It wasn't me but whoever it was got a deal if the toggle is in decent shape.

I've used very old vintage carbon blades. And they gave me some of the best shaves I've ever had. Personally, I wouldn't be shy about trying a vintage blade if one came my way. If the blade was dull, I would simply stop shaving with it. I would sterilize it before use though.

'twas me I admit.
I was really gunning for that one "Old Hickory" blade...
:tongue_sm

Yeah, those Old Hickory blades are damned hard to find . . . :tongue_sm

Congrats on a great find!! Good example of a seller not knowing what they've got, and a lesson to all of us to search some of the "lesser used" categories when looking for collectible razors!!
