Some might recall my statement dating back from November, 25th.

"In the remaining November days I might add a brush from Vie-Long (I always wanted to try this brand and their famous horse-hair brushes). It would be my first horse hair brush, and now that they are already out of business... FOMO's greeting again."

Due to this whole Covid mess, I wasn't in the mood to take care of said order in good time. Today I had a day off...

Two Vie-Long horse hair brushes are on their way now... I'll share a picture with you when they arrive. It won't take too long, they don't have to cross a border Go DHL

Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Dorco Titan #3
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

The Dorco Titan had definitely smoothed out on shave 3, and I got a comfortable near-BBS. I don't know if they last as long, but these feel like Astra SPs to me.

Sure, will do. Just received the shipping conformation...
However, I'll start using them not earlier than January 2024, it's Decemboar right now...
But I'm already very curious, since using horse-hair brushes is 100% uncharted waters for me...

I've been wanting to try the Space Nog(another BF purchase) for quite some time and it was quite delightful to use this morning. As usual I loaded way too much soap with the stick shift 10098.
The Yates with the open comb H plate paired with a vintage Gillette SS circa '65 provided a flawless two pass BBS this morning, and nary a blemish to be found.

Another shave with PAA Good Vibrations shaving soap, Rockwell T2 SS and Gillette Platinum blade (6th day), as I continue with SWS and December DE. Also included were Merkur Badger brush, Beau Brummell shaving bowl, and Aqua Velva Classic Blue Ice AS.
