Well, I've been debating and debating... Just stumbled into the SRP classifieds section and saw a somewhat sad looking Torrey for $20... I just happen to have that in my Paypal account, how could I possibly say no?

I still had been debating whether or not to upgrade my Ustura shavette to a Dovo, but everyone here keeps saying to go for the real thing, so here I go!

Hopefully I sent my message in time to snag it.

And hopefully I can acquire a strop of some kind before it shows up! I've read newspaper can be used in a pinch; Does that actually work?

(I suppose I'd be open to really cheap strop offers at this point if someone wants to offload something. )

yes it does - but its nothing on a strop.

The Filly strop from RupRazor is a pretty cheap strop. I really like mine, it's cheap, and if you're like me- you will nick your strop so it's best to nick a 20$ one instead of a super nice TM Latigo. Not only is it good for the price as just a plain strop, but the backside comes pasted with chromium oxide so you can give your razor touch ups.

I have been looking at that one for quite some time now. Considering the razor is en route I should probably pick it up.

I have the filly as well. It is all nicked up already, but still works just fine. I would be crying if I nicked an expensive strop as much.
