Pete Seger once said that “plagiarism is basic to all cultures”. When I saw the aluminum brush that Gigster posted a couple of weeks ago, I knew I had to try to replicate his unique creation. With many PMs of generous help and support from Gigster, I was able to take an old Aluminum Rubberset and approach Gigster’s masterpiece. I chose a 24mm TGN Silver Tip Fan for the brush. Can’t wait lather it up tomorrow. Thanks again Gigster!!!

I was thinking about another one, but with a Silvertip knot. I really like the looks of that TGN ST, enabler. Hey, just send me that one.

Here is the brush paired up with a Progress razor (almost a Mergress ;-) ) after it's first lathering. I took a ton of Prorasso Croap and felt very nice for the first shave.

Man, the extra touch of flair that the red o-ring and paint add is so fantastic. Love these restores and hate that I missed snagging one on the bst last week for $15!

It takes some elbow grease to bring up the shine on these, but I think it is worth it. Keep an eye on EBAY, they are often bundled with a group of older brushes. I got this one with an old Duck aluminum brush, which I will tackle in future.
