Compare your favourite lime cream to T&H limes ...

I have the T&H limes cream ... the only lime cream I've ever tried. I am :001_smile about the scent rather than , so I'm wondering how other lime creams out there compare

scent??

performance??

I'd like to always have one lime cream on hand, but realistically only one. I can't see myself buying one of each to compare, so once the T&H is gone, in a long time from now, I'll be lining up another tub to replace it (be that T&H or otherwise.)

Thoughts?

I prefer Trumper lime to T&H. I really don't like the scent of the T&H, although it was a great cream, as they all are, in my opinion. To me, the Trumpers had the better scent and equivalent performance.

I think even Godrej lime is a step up from T&H lime. It just smells like a kitchen cleaning product to me. I think T&H did a much better job with their "cologne" fragrances than their "natural" fragrances. That said, I haven't tried enough lime products to chime in with any real alternatives.

It's been two hours and no one has mentioned Castle Forbes?

I think it is the undisputed king of limes on B&B, but I actually prefer Trumpers. I like the smell alot better. And preformance is great.

Castle Forbes is a different animal. It smells like 100% lime, and is much denser. Amazing stuff too. I'm  with both of them.

I figured somebody would say it... they always do, but I haven't tried the CF so I didn't feel qualified :001_rolle.

Thanks, guys.

Sure, I already knew that I'd get the "Castle Forbes " response ... frequently ...

What I'm really interested in is finding out why guys like cream a or b ... maybe it's "I know everyone likes CF but I like the scent of Vulfix better because ... " The reason you like one over the other really helps me decide if I share your personal taste on that matter.

Well, to clarify my position, I think the Trumper's has a little "softer" lime smell, as compared to the very sharp lime in the T&H. In fact, I'm not sure that the T&H is entirely lime, I catch something else in there - not sure what. The Trumpers is a clean and fresh lime scent. At least, that's how I perceived the difference. The both provided a nice thick, cushioning lather.

Although I have never smelled this line, I hear nothing but good things about e-shave. They just introduced the Verbena Lime. Its a new line for 2010.

I had the white tea shave cream and it was good stuff!

Cheers!

I received samples of the Truefitt & Hill, and the Trumper's Lime(s). I bought the Trumper's. It will probably take you at least a week to learn how little of it you need. It may take longer for me, I've been shaving from what stuck to the lid and I still use too much of it. :biggrin1:

The Trumper's Lime has a sweeter smell to it; it's got a little bit of a floral thing going on beneath the lime. It's a nice scent, and the efficacy of the cream is at least as good as T&H.

Castle Forbes is dense and makes a very protective lather, but I actually prefer the scent of Trumpers. Often touted as a "pure lime" scent, I find the CF has a slightly unpleasant smell just below the lime. It's hard to describe, but it smells like shoe polish. That said, you can certainly get a great shave from this cream, and most folks seem to love the scent.

I received some samples of the e shave verbena lime and it the smell is great. It makes a great lather and provided a very smooth shave.
