After watching my younger brother (30) shaving with a disposable over the weekend I thought I get him a DE. I got this little gem off eBay (very addicting by the way only $7.00). I was hoping to see if you guys could identify it. Here is the add. Is it any sorta Gillette or is it a run of the mill Gillette?

Got him some Conel Conk Soap, a tweezerman brush, and I will give him the rest of my multi pack of razors with some Astra SP from my stash.

The quarter is clearly from 1967

looks like it will clean up very nicely. a nice soapy soak, some scrubbing bubbles and MAAS polish and that thing will look like new again.

nice pick up for your brother, but after seeing it all restored, you may end up keeping it for yourself

It's a W-1 -- first quarter of 1951, the start of standard date coding. There was some date code stamping done during 1950, but I've only ever seen that on the diamond stamped portion of the guard plate right beside the handle. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a great buy for under $10.

That thought crossed my mind I have a case of the ADs after my first month of shaving with a DE.
