Cheap Travel Brush

Today I am placing an order for a Semogue 620. The brush plus shipping from Portugal comes to $25.00. I am buying it specifically to have a face-lathering soap brush, but I am sure--if I like it--that it will also become my travel brush.

The Body Shop synthetic brush is cheap ($11) and dries quickly.

It may not be the best performer, but it does work.

Why not travel with your normal brush? Your lather will be much more consistent with your at-home shaves and it costs you $0 extra.:thumbup1:

Rule #1 about travel gear ... Don't take along anything you can't afford to lose.

An inexpensive, easily replaced brush like a BodyShop synthetic or Tweezerman would be a good choice. Get a pill bottle from the pharmacy to keep it in.

But why take a brush at all? I always leave mine at home, and just lather up with the palm of my hand. Works great, and neither my whiskers nor my razor can tell the difference.

You mean if something happens to my shave stuff I HAVE to go buy more? Darn the luck.... Oooo!! Look!! WCS has simpsons on sale....:lol::lol:

I hear you though. I take my HD over feather AS, my ch1 best instead of my ch2 silvertip, ect. I enjoy my shaves with my normal equipment and hate to feel like I'm "making do" with stuff I don't mind losing.

I'd go with a Synthetic Omega. Inexpensive, great performance and they dry fast.

+1 on the Tweezerman! I am also hearing a lot of talk about a brush that's sold at Target for $8 or so. It's a newer product line. I am sure if you do a search for it on here, you will find it. I can't seem to remember the make.

Thanks for the response. I travel throughout the world. Whatever luggage that isnt lost is often pilfered. Thats why I am looking for something cheap. Whats i sthe cheap synthetic at Target?

The brush at Target is the "Shea Moisture" brand, and its made of black badger ... be aware that not all Target stores carry it. I've gone looking for it in my neck of the woods, and I can't find it, but plenty of members around the country have bought it, and they report that for an under $10 brush, it performs pretty well.

Vulfix 404 badger and boar brush ($25.00). Works well with soap or cream. Get a Muhle brush ($7.50) travel tube to store it.

I would consider the Wee Scot.
Easy, handy, stunning performer.

I have two kits.
One is an overnighter and the other 7 days or longer.

I use a Tweezerman in the 7 day kit.
I use a travel brush from L'Occitane in my overnighter.
Cost right now is $10 and try their shave soap, it's pretty darn good.

I use an Omega 50014 travel brush. Cheap and a very good brush to face lather with.
I have several more expensive brushes at hand but this little brush gets a lot of use even at home. (It does need to be broken in tho.)
