I am debating my next shaving cream as I am getting close. I read Trumpers was good for sensitive skin to razor burn as Castle Forbes Lavender is which works well for me. Does anyone recommend a Trumpers cream? If so which scent?

I strongly recommend you buy the Trumpers Coconut. It has a lovely but mild scent. But its real strong points are the superb protective and thick lather it makes and its very easy on sensitive skin(which I have). Its one of my 3 favorite all time creams, Just marvelous. Craig

You should be checking out the new RR Castle copy line or XX, for under $10.00 you can try a lot more flavors and performance is as good as the best soaps out there.

Trumpers Coconut is amazing and lightly scented, natural to my nose and was a great performing cream that I will look to purchase again when they go Paraben Free.

CF Lavender is more expensive (maybe not), beautiful scent, very concentrated and almost like a soft soap when lathering it (see here)

You can't go wrong with either of them, but my vote to start with one or the other, would go to Castle Forbes Lavender.

have you tried both the CF and RR copies (Lavender or Lime)?

I've got Trumper's Coconut and Castle Forbes Lime. Both are excellent products; I don't think you will be disappointed with either one you choose. How about getting both?

I responded previously to you but maybe I misunderstood your question. Weren't you asking for a Trumpers cream specifically? That's what I thought you were asking. However,if you are asking to compare and rate Castle Forbes and Trumpers,then my answer would be Castle Forbes Lime (or Lavender). IMO,you cannot beat CF Lime or Lavender creams. Both are the absolute best on the market. I'd choose CF over Trumpers Coconut but its pretty close Craig

I just recently reduced my cream tub inventory to three. The ones that have made the cut are Castle Forbes Lavender, GFT Coconut, and T&H Ultimate Comfort. All of these are geared toward sensitive skin and are amazing performers. Honestly you can not go wrong with either GFT Coconut or CF Lavender but If I had to give the edge to one, it would have to be CF.

My comment was not meant to scare anyone away from buying it, but it is something that some will want to consider before buying.

The only Trumpers cream I liked was the Coconut, but I didn't love it as much as Castle Forbes Lavender and Lime, which do represent better, more luxurious products. To me CF > GFT under every aspect. Of course IMHO.

The only Castle Forbes I've tried is Castle Forbes Lavender, but it beats all of my Trumper's creams (Rose, Limes, Sandalwood).

+1 for what vocalistbob says here. The only cream on an even par with the CF creams,IMO,is the wonderful Italian cream,Xpec,which is quite costly.

I tried a sampler of GFT creams, and there is just OK in my book. I didn't find any of them particularly outstanding, they were all average. CF is well received around here, and I'd say its a better product. IMO GFT is the worst of the british brands these days, I'd rank them behind T&H, ToBS, and DR Harris for both soaps and creams.

Alternatively I'd go with a RR product, it blows GFT out of the water for less money.

I get equally good shaves from both Trumper and CF creams. In terms of quality, I give the nod to CF, but I think Trumper is the better value overall. My favorite Trumper cream is the coconut oil. However, the ingredients in all of their creams is the same, save for coloring and scenting agents.

Only go the Trumper route if the cream scent you want isn't available in the CF range...
