I intend contacting the seller after I know the razor's outcome (positive or negative). So I'd rather not give a link at this moment in time Jim.Cal, where did you buy this razor? Link, please, if eBay.

Sorry, can't agree on that one Doug. As per Slash's sketch, I measured the spine thickness. That gives me OPP. SIDE x 2 (in the sketch). Then I measured from the blade edge to the second mark (the one furthest from the blade edge) giving me the HYPOTENUSE.
So, using this calculator (I'm lazy), I enter the OPP. SIDE into side B, the HYPOTENUSE into side C, and the right angle (90°) into angle C (making sure there's no measurements entered anywhere else). This gives me angle B which is half the blade angle.

... this is a smooth as blades get.
I'm happy to wait Doug.I could post it back to you tomorrow Cal.
But then I won't have finished the scales for it.
Please do!So, if you don't mind I'll post it off in the new year.
Then I might get another shave out of it.
That looks nice. Ah the benefits of SRAD!That is, if this baby doesn't show up tomorrow.
Well, after all that excitement I thought I'd better go and chill out.
Do you have a link for that Doug? (I've only read the burr method.) Inquisitive minds, you know.Keiths way of setting the bevel

Amazing accomplishment, Doug.
Happy shaves,
Jim
Yeah. Only about 4¼ hours of Keith's bevel setting videos to watch. Thanks Jim.That should keep Cal busy for a while
+1Thanks Cal.
I'll makes sure it's retouched up and ready to go when I'm finished with it.
You know, shaving is a great whay to chill out.
It makes me feel so relaxed and it removes all the crap of the day from your face.
Thats why I like to shave in the evenings.
Finaly finished the set of mini scales for your razor Cal.
Turned out to be harder to make than a normal set for reasons I'm not sure.
Nothing went right.
Lost count of the amount of times I had to sand it to remove scratches that I made when polishing.
So, I've not put any pins in it, they would just be for show anyway.
I'll decide in the next day or so whether to risk it or not.
The way things were going today i thought it best not to tempt fate.
Wife donated a new headband to keep the razor in place.

I'll leave it up to you if you decide to use them or not.
How cool is this!
That looks great Doug! Finally finished the set of mini scales for your razor Cal.
