Wondered into Bath and Body with my wife and thought I'd pick up a tube of Proraso/Begilow shave cream. When I went to the counter the help said that if you spend $15 or more you get another $13 store credit and was able to pick up 6 tubes for $15 because they were on sale for $5. Since Proraso/Begilow is my weekend shave cream those tubes will last for years.

SWEET. I will swing by today and see if the same deal applies in California. Last year they had a awesome deal in December, spent 10 bucks and get a free 10 dollar item. I stocked up on proraso and the green elixir ASB (which i have run out of) Thanks. Greg

I always get blank stares at B&BW whenever I mention deals that I have seen mentioned here.
I have also experiened that so today when I walked in and was greeted, I said I was just

After reading this I cruised over to the the Bath and Body Works here. When we walked in we got a book that had a coupon in it for this deal. Apparently this special is running through November 8th. On the book I had it was: Receive Free item of your choice with any purchase of $15 or more ; Up to 13 dollar value. So, I asked the gal about using the $13 as store credit to get a few tubes of cream and she said no.
Well, the other negative was that they were out of Bigelow/Porasso cream anyways. And furthermore, there was actually a list to be notified when a new shipment arrives! The girl behind the counter says they usually sell out as soon as it comes in. This must be some good stuff or something. Anyways, ymmv on getting them to treat that 13 bucks as store credit, but I had no luck.

Mansquatch, proraso is some awesome stuff and much loved around here, take a look in the shaving creams forum. If you get a chance you should pick some up when they get it back in stock. It cost $10 at bath and body works and it last a long time. They begilow asb's they carry there are also excelent IMO. Welcome to B&B. Greg
I was there on the weekend and noticed C.O. Begilow had a lime bodywash. It smelt amazing but I didn't buy. I can't seem to find it on their website. Anyone try it before?
I have used the peppermint body wash and it is AWESOME but it does not last long and you have to use it sparingly on your "sensitive areas"

I went back today and they only had the 1.7oz left. But the funny thing was that it was also $5 like the larger size. They still had the sale for $13 credit though.

I have read the love for Porasso around here and am looking forward to giving it a shot, especially at a good price! On a different note though, after reading about all of the love for Tabac I ordered some Tabac and I was less than enamored with the scent. In fact, when I first opened it I was actually a little let down and I thought it smelled, well, awful actually.
Weird thing is, I was searching antique shops today for razors and stumbled across an old Tabac AS/Cologne pack and it smelled freakin' awesome! I wish my soap smelled like THAT. I don't know, maybe I got a bad puck or something. I am giving it a chance though and the scent of the soap is sort of growing on me. But it was love at first smell with the TOBS Sandalwood and SCS Bay Rum.

If you end up not liking it, post a trade. There are too many amazing soaps and creme out there to use something you don't care for. BTW, Proraso is amazing.

Mansquatch, I was given a free puck of tabac on the BST but after three shaves with it I have also given it away, I was expecting a lot more out of it from the way it is talked about on here, I'm glad I tried it though. Next I want to try MWF to see if it is all its cracked up to be.

went to the Bath & Body by my house and looked for the C.O. Bigelow shave cream. they had the deal going on, unfortunately, they had absolutely no shave cream. I stood there for 5 minutes staring at the display to make sure I didn't overlook anything. I know it comes in a green box and I surely would've spotted it. are they phasing the shaving cream out or were they just sold out? I know i've seen it before at this same location so it makes me wonder.
probably sold out, or somewhat hidden, like it usually is at the store I frequent.
