C&E in a tube

Hi - I picked up some C&E in a tube a couple of months back for travel and I thought I would give it a try before heading out on a trip.

So.......I tried making lather in a scuttle as normal. No joy. Tried a few days later face lathering. No joy. Used two different brushes as well. The second time added cream 3 times thinking there was just not enough cream on the brush, all I got was a weak thin lather that I just could not use.

To save the day I put a very small bit of Speck on the brush and BAM! Loads and loads of lather. So what am I doing wrong?

Oh I have C&E Nomad and Sandalwood cream in jars and have NO problem with them. But the tube stuff is well.........VERY low on my list just now. In fact it is neck and neck with Trader Joe's stuff.

Agreed! I have a jar of the Sienna cream and it's some of the best I've used. Never tried it out of the metal tube though.

Are you referring to the C&E Naturals for Men line? Gray tube in a black box?

If it doesn't lather, don't worry about it. Its not meant to produce mountains of foam. But that doesn't prevent it from giving a great shave.

I used to buy their cream all of the time, until they started putting it in glass jars and charging an extra $5.00 for it. Now it's the same price as Art of shaving, and to me, AOS is the best !
