What's new

Buy Lord blades directly from Egypt.

I'm halfway through my sampler pack and so far the only blades I liked were two Lord-manufactured blades; Shark Super Chrome and Crown. I also tried Lord Platinum Class, but it was too sharp.
Chances are good that I will buy Shark SC, Crown and other Lord-blades in bulk in the future, but the only reliable sources of these blades I have found are in North America. Since I live in Europe, it feels wasteful, time-consuming and expensive to have the blades sent all the way to a middle man in North America from Egypt, just to have them sent back to Europe when I buy them.
Are there any on-line stores based in Egypt or other nearby countries, that will ship internationally, that I could buy from instead? I know of a number of sellers in Turkey that advertises on Ebay with very reasonable prices, but they only have a few Lord brands that I haven't tried yet and have no idea if I would like (usually Shark SS and Racer). None have Shark Super Chrome or Crown. There are also some sellers in the United Kingdoms, but they are much more expensive.

No idea about Egyptian sellers, but I know that Connaught Shaving has them.

The Turkish vendor is one of the ones I had found before, but like the other ones from Turkey he only has Racer and Shark SS, not Shark SC or any other Lord blades.
Connaught shaving has a good selection of blades, but his prices are about 50% higher than the Turkish vendors. I might buy their Lord sampler pack for a second round of testing, but I'd rather find a vendor in a cheaper country close to Egypt for my bulk purchases.

I recently bought a card of Racers, still a good blade, but not a superb blade .I compared it to a Racer I bought 4 years ago,and the smoothness is not as noticeable.

You could contact Lord Hungary; http://lordeurope.com/en/company.html. They don't have all brands by Lord but they helped me out earlier this year.

Edit; they have no Crown or Shark in stock I think.

Hmm... The site is in Hungarian. I guess I should expect that if I want to order from foreign countries. They have the Lord-branded Lord-blades and I might find out I like one of those when I've tried all of them from my sampler pack. They don't seem to sell directly to consumers and no prices are listed, so do they have a minimum size of purchase and cheaper prizes than Connaughtshaving?

I didn't get any Racers with my sampler pack. How sharp and smooth are they, compared to Lord Platinum Class (Sharpest), Shark Super Chrome (Medium) and Crown (Mildest)? Since they are readily available, it would be nice if I liked them.

You can email them in english. Though they are not a webshop they do take orders to some extent from consumers. I know nothing of a minimal quantity but then again; I ordered around 2,400 blades and collected them while visiting Budapest (though he offered sending them to me) and it was a better deal than any other I have seen. I did agree however to not discuss the actual price and I guess that has to do with both the incidental selling to consumers and the possibility to adept the price depending on the quantity of the order.

Right, I'll keep them in mind. I might do some small scale trading of razor blades in the future, just to earn back what I spend on supplies for myself. Then I would want to buy a couple of thousand blades cheaply.
