Burt's Bees

Picked up some burt's bees shaving cream in a tube at a local pharmacy for $11. Wondering if this is suppose to lather because I couldn't get it to, I have a hunch that it's not suppose to.. anywho, kind of cool contains bees wax, kinda slick i guess
i'll update after my next shave with it as my first one was terrible haha

I haven't tried it, but word around the campfire is the stuff isn't worth the tube it sits in. YMMV.

I think I'm going to put "YMMV" in my signature.

Yeah I tried it again last night, not any better, i might just a dab here and there into m lathers

Never tried it but it is probably a "brushless" cream. Same thing happened to me with Kiehls, it's brushless so it won't lather.

I tried Burt Bees aftershave though, and it's more a hydrating cream than an aftershave. Burt Bees has the best lip balm around, but their shaving products don't seem to be the best.

I have never tried the cream but I understand that it is a no lather type and perhaps says so on the packaging. I used to use the soap and still have several pucks that I don't use. It had a very nice Bay Rum scent and was very moisturizing but the lather was left something to be desired. I have one sitting in a Burt's Bees mug so I may give it a go again sometime.

Enjoy,

Doug

I know I'm in the minority here, but I like BB's shave cream ... I often take it with me when traveling, and its great for the dog days of summer, or when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to mess around with a brush.

I've used it both brushless and with a brush. I've tried both bowl lathering and face lathering. I've used it as a stand-alone cream and a mixture with various soaps. It works well in every combination you can think of.

Yes, I know it doesn't lather up. That doesn't stop it from giving me a great shave every time I use it. It smells good, its relatively cheap, and you can find it easily in brick-n-mortar retailers.

BTW, paying $11 a tube for it seems rather high. I see it everywhere for $7.99.

I purchased some non fluoride burts bees tooth paste recently, pretty good stuff, concentrated and has a nice beeswax scent and taste...burt sold out a year or two ago,all burts bees items are now clorox corp. productions

Made the same mistake. Smell was OK so now combine it with 'Kiss my Face' cream which lathers up really nice.
