Afternoon ladies and gents, thought I may as well record my happenings in this new DE shaving world!
Anyway I have had my first 4 DE shaves go off relatively well. But nothing spectacular although, today has been my best shave so far!
The Goods:
#4 (9/17/13)
Started with a nice lather, a (best one yet considering the rock hardness of the water around here) and then applied it. After which I applied a hot towel for a few minutes, wiped off and relathered for a the shave. I did 1 WTG pass and 2 XTG passes. I find that doing this gives a DFS on everything but the neck, with no irritation. Although the neck is tough right now. If i go ATG i get razorburn. This could be technique or pressure.
Speaking of pressure, I really payed attention to having no pressure and good angle today, and now I understand, great feeling afterward.
Here are a few pics, yes I pick up a straight, from our fellow Buca here, and will be trying that later, probably when I get very comfortable with the DE
