British made OC Aristocrat not opening correctly...HELP

I could really use some help from you experts. I just got a British made Aristocrat in the mail...I've been looking for one for a while. Anyhow, when I twist open the "handle end" to open the doors, they don't open...instead the "handle end" unscrews about .5mm. Then when I push the end of the razor back into the handle it will open the doors. It also doesn't tighten correctly when closing. I've attached a pic & video below. Is this something I can repair? Of course the ebay seller listed it as working just fine. Thanks for any help!

Push knob in and tighten to align crimp and groove.... crimp the dark band with the back edge of a butter knife while rolling the razor along the edge of a table with the head hanging over the edge.

What are your grand plans with this beauty after the crimp? Replate, leave as is, PIF to me...............

My aristocrat has the beginnings of this problem, around here it's commonly referred to as "dropsies" which should help you in searches. I know I have read threads with links to youtube instructionals from what copierguy posted above to using a pipecutter with a washer in place of the blade to fix it. I would first check to make sure that you can get the doors to open first by pushing up on the TTO knob just to make sure that nothing is seized or frozen first. I'd also look for the threads on cleaning to make sure you get any gunked up buildup out of it as well. Good luck, I reach for my aristocrat more often than my fatboy these days.
