Bottom Dial Prices?

Just wondered if this is about what you can expect to pay for a bottom dial 195. I'm never going to get one, obviously, just curious if that's about the going rate.

I actually did buy something else from this same eBay seller, an auto strop for under $6 shipped.

They can go a bit higher depending on condition. The finish on the handle on this one was a little funny so I think the selling price was a little lower.

I'm not a collector and I really don't see how it could shave THAT much better than a regular fat boy...heck...these are selling for more than 2-3 times my most prized straight!!!!

I picked one up earlier this spring....then made the mistake of shaving with it.

It has spoiled me for anything else. You know how everyone looks for their perfect blade and razor combo. Well this turns out to be my perfect razor with an Astra Platinum blade......

These do shave very nicely. The one pictured from the auction looks a bit heavily worn but the price while a bit high for the condition was not out of the range for this model IMO. The value stems from extreme rarity - there are very few of these around and if you get one you know that you can always sell it again for about what you paid so it's a low risk buy. The problem comes in parting with them once they are in the rotation!
