I think I read somewhere that these are basically the same razor, with the Scimitar being slightly better quality? If this true? Thanks

The head looks more EJ / Muhle to me and the handle's completely different. Definitely not the same as a 34c.
It looks more like a DE89 to me.

I just got my first DE razor today, the EJ 89811... I'm hooked, already looking to add to the collection. My wife is going to be so happy that I discovered this new way of life......
