Had the best shave of my very young career yesterday. As close to BBS as I have gotten so far there were still a few slight rough areas though. Here was my routine:
Pre-Shave shower (washed with 365 brand glycerin soap from Whole Foods $1.85 I think) (Soaked Brush)
After shower CREW shaving oil and hot towel
Hardware: 1968 Gillette Super Speed (Astra Blade 2nd shave), Escali Pure Badger brush
Software: Classic Brand shaving soap (Forrest Pine nice and cool!)
Alum Block afterwards
3 passes and a polish
rinse with cool water
I couldn't stop feeling the smoothness. It was even still pretty good this morning.
