Arko Neutralizer

Eureka! I think I found something that neutralizes the scent of Arko. Drum roll....

BURT'S BEES SHAVING CREAM

Actually, I don't have a problem with the scent of Arko, but I know some people do. I have mixed up an Uber lather with Arko and various other cream; and the Arko scent still seems to come through pretty strong. However, that doesn't seem to be the case with Burt's.

Anyone else try this combination? By the way, the lather is amazing!!!

I love the smell of Arko, but this is a great idea for those who have "issues" with the wonderful smell of Arko :tongue_sm

I don't mind the smell of Arko but thanks to THIS thread about Old Spice cream/soap I grated a stick of Arko and mixed it with a tube of Old Spice shaving cream.
I warmed it up a little to soften it so it would mix and let it dry for a week. It smells of Old Spice with just a touch of lemon but not that cheap Arko/lemon smell, it's completely overpowered by the Old Spice scent.
It turned out to be the best soap I ever tried, easy to lather, smells great and a rich and thick slick lather. I also seems to get a much smoother shave with zero irritation every time I use it. Its my favorite soap now, even better then MWF, Tabac, plain Arko, P160, Palmolive and many others.

I have about 14 sticks sealed up in a ziplock bag, and on the rare occasion that I open the bag, it actually smells really good.

I left mine out in the open on the counter. The next day I could smell it from the stairway 40 feet away.

I don't mind the scent but it sure is distinctive
