I was looking at the plating on some of the Weishi razors and was wondering if anyone knows of any safety razors with more of a modern look to them.

The merkur vision or futur both look great. and despite what others might say they provide an excellent shave.
Merkur Futur is very modern-looking, reasonably priced and considered by many to be the ultimate adjustable razor.

I like the looks of the Carlton Chatsworth Barley Metal Razor on Truefitt & Hill's site, although I don't know that I'd drop $149 on one though. I don't suppose anyone knows how they shave?
The "Pear Black" Weishi that they have on their website, I wonder if that's the same color as the gunmetal one. Too bad about Weishi's being so mild because I'd like to have one.

You could take about 50 empty mountain dew bottles, melt them down and dip an old gillette in them to get a nice coat of green plastic. That the modern you're shooting for?

Merkur for sure. They make an adjustable that looks like itbelongs in a scifi movie
I've always thought the Wilkinson Sword Razor commonly referred to as the "Sticky" was very modern looking, especially since it was made 40 or so years ago. I believe it actually won some awards for it's design.
Concur with Kyle76 on the Merkur Futur razor. It is very modern looking and provides a quality shave at a reasonable price.

Not only is the futur awesome looking... but it shaves so well! A very wide range of razor blades work well in a futur. Just pop one in and go!

Yeah, I'm getting used to that NEW head on my Bull Mastiff and Bob's razors are great. If you want something special, get that. Though they don't look particularly futuristic.
