I can't come up with a single rational explanation for this.

Well, according to some accounts, you can get 8-15x more shaves with them than with other blades. If so, the per shave price wouldn't be altogether unreasonable.

I'm fortunate that I probably have a lifetime supply of *74's; they certainly are a great blade.

But I will say that no, *74's are not worth $4/blade. I'd pay about a buck per blade, but that'd be my limit. (I probably need to meet this fellow who's paying $4 per blade. you know, to help him out. )

I have tried a Personna 74 Injector blade. It lasted for about 18 shaves, and provided as smooth of a shave as any other Injector blade. So other than the increased longevity of the blade, there is nothing special about these blades. So they are certainly not worth anywhere near $4 per blade!!

That kind of pricing is pure craziness.

I have a few left and like them very much but I would not pay a premium price for them. There are many other fine choices for a more reasonable price. But having said that, I like Old Spice shaving soap very much but would not pay what they are getting for it on the bay either.
