AOS sandalwood cream lathering question

So i love the stuff, smells good and my face feels good after using it. How do you all go about lathering it? I used my scuttle and was not a fan... How do all of the face latherers use this product?

2 ways to do it for face latherers really:

1. Dip your damp brush in the jar and apply to your face
2. Dip your dry finger in the jar and apply an even coating cream to your beard area, then massage it IN in circular motions with your damped brush

Love the scent, performance is also very very good - maybe not awesome, but very very good as with all Creighton made creams.

I use option 2, works wonderfully.

I'm a brush dipper myself. I had another problem though. I always ended up eating half of the AOS Sandalwood tub because it smells so damn good!

Love the cream and soap. I face lather the soap and use the scuttle on the cream. Mayby you dont have enough or too much water with it

I dipped my brush per everyone's recommendations and I must say that it worked great. Some of the thickest lather ever. Performed 100% better than bowl lathering it. Thanks for the suggestion as I am now quite satisfied with my $22.00 spent!

A little dab will do ya'. Just a slight swirl around the tub with a nice wet brush and get after it. Try re-wetting your brush for the following coats. Enjoy that $22 tub, they just raised prices.

maybe i put too much on then. This stuff was the thickest lather I have made to date. I tried to make sure my 2 band looked like what it looks like after swirling 100x on Razorock xxx lets say. Stuff just exploded.

I use the brush from the jar right to my face and have great success with aos sandalwood. Worst case scenario is you may have to give your brush an extra spritz of water while rubbing it into your face.

I use this cream with my G5 scuttle and have had terrific performance.

I bowl-lather this as well. Just an almond-size dollop in the bottom of the bowl and start working it with a wrung-out brush. Add a little more water once the lather starts to work up, and it billows up into a nicely fluffy, moist, and protective lather. Smells great, too.

If you have the jar, pretend you've bought the tube version. Put your finger in the jar, take out little amounts and apply to different parts of face and throat, rub it all over lightly till it covers the entire area to be shaved.

Get a brush, boar or badger. Run it under hot water till it is all wet and hot. Squeeze most of the water out of it starting from the handle side, apply brush to face and start brushing it around as you would a shave stick that has been applied to the face. If you need more water, just put some drops on the tip of the brush, and keep applying to the face. A thick rich lather will ensue.

Renato
