Anyone else love the Racer blades?

I am on my second week using Racer's and loving them. I got 6 shaves out of the first blade and am on shave 2 with the current blade. I can't believe how sharp and smooth these cheap little blades are on my face. As always YMMV

I recently picked up a birth year SS from Krona Kruiser (in phenomenal shape btw) and he threw in a pack of Racer blades. I'm looking forward to giving them a spin. It's really a classic case of so many blades, so little time...

Happy shaving

I love Racers. They are in my top tier, along with Personna Med Preps/Labs, Greens (Indian Permasharps), Yellows (7 O'C SharpEdges), and Russian Perma-Sharps.

I got a pack from Krona Kruiser with a recent razor purchase as well. Tried one the other day and it was very smooth and resulted in a great shave, can't speak for longevity as I don't use any DE blade for more than a couple shaves. I like having a fresh sharp blade regularly for all the more they cost.

I tried my first Racer on Derby Day, very smooth & comfortable for 3 shaves, #4 & 5 were rough. I'm not complaining since I normally change blades after the 3rd time, but I usually push the first of any brand I try, testing longevity.

If you liked Racer, I would recommend you try Asco, also made by Lord. They are just a tad sharper and a tad smoother (of course YMMV blablabla)

If you try Asco, make sure they're the Orange wrapper variety. I got a pack of the Asco reds as a free sample with an order, and they are at the bottom of the Lord range, along with Big Bens and Crowns. The Racer is mid-range in the Lord line, and it works for me, though I like Sharks better. I've only tried one Asco orange some years ago, and my technique has changed since then, but from what I've read, the Asco orange is better than a Racer, maybe more like a Shark.

There are a few different types of Asco I think. Mine were in blue packs, with red ends. The ones sold by bestshave. I actually liked them better than The Shark SS (and I have about 240 sharks left). I guess this is one of those YMMV situations :)
