So I'm looking for a head that won't tarnish in the shower... So I'm on a quest for a nickel or chrome plated gillette new oc long comb head.... Anybody know where I can buy head with or without handle and not have to wait for a replating job... I have four gillette oc long comb razors... So I suppose I could send one out, but I prefer not to

Are you sure you want an OC for shaving in the shower? One drop and you'll have bent teeth.

Already posted in bst and I only shave with oc... Right now my copper Gillette new looks like the creature from the green lagoon
That sounds awesome, but I've always liked the bluish green tarnish that copper gets.
Could a person spray polyurethane or Lacquer on one? That could be cool. With lacquer you can mist with thinner and get a darn near perfect finish.
Good question. I know Reliable has some kind of clearcoat but I dunno what kind works best or what the process is.

I always shave in the shower and I use OC razors 98% of the time. No worries.
Most of the Gillette LC News started out plated in nickel. If you can find a decent one on the bay without any plate loss.... that should do..... shouldn't it?

+1 High quality, inexpensive and a great guy to deal with. I'd like him better if I could stop savaging my face with the LC New I bought from him, but that's just pilot error.
