Does the pocket watch still work? It looks like it needs a new crystal. You could get one for it and get it serviced at the same time.

That is a great "double" heirloom - the pocket watch & picture - though Rolex might try and upcharge you for a crystal if you send the Sub in for their service ..
Been wearing my grandfather's (1962ish) Seamaster since 1990. I'll adjust the time a minute or two once a week.

Love that photo of your grandmother in the watch. It doesn't get much better.

It does need a new crystal, have not wound it up. Will take it to a reputable watch repair shop at some time in the future and have 'em look it over, give me an estimate and repair.
Now that's super cool. And grandma was a looker, if you don't mind me saying. No wonder gramps kept that picture with him.
I've used the Antique Watch Company before for repairs and they've been very good. Not the least expensive, but they did a good job.
