Johnston & Murphy CROWN Aristocraft ( U.S.A. ) question

I wear 10C in modern Allen Edmond's top line dress shoes . I'm looking at a vintage pair of Johnston & Murphy CROWN Aristocraft shoes in 10C . These are USA made but I'm not sure what year . They have the comfortable Trampoline sole and are brand new

Late to the game here.

Go back some 30+ years, I was a young man starting out in business and as I started developing my footwear style, I gravitated towards J&M over AE.

At that time, their quality and craftsmanship was equal (with AE ultimately maintaining fairly high standards, while J&M fell by the wayside).

The last of the AE shoe (i.e. Park Avenue) just ran a bit narrower than the J&M Crown Aristocraft models like the Georgetown (which was their flagship model at that time selling for ($395)

Or the Conley

And even J&M’s last-ditch attempt at higher end footwear with their Northampton line.

All of these shoes provided a better fit for me due to an overall wider silhouette than the AE shoes without having to go into wider widths and sticking to my then 10D US size.

The good fit and decent overall quality led to a closet full of their Aristocraft line of their Aldrich II shoe

The pair you’ve found is certainly in pristine condition and comes from an era when J&M produced well-made footwear.
