Any info on this straight?

Hello Guys,

I've drawn a complete blank on this razor & it's now bugging me. I'm thinking about rescaling it but I'd like to know some more about it if it's to be had?

The only thing to go off is the stamp "Stock" the walking cane stick branding or motif and on the none face side on the shank "best qual silver steel"

Thanks..

It doesn't look like a typical one, but the stamp on the rear of the tang suggests Japanese to me. The lower case b, silver steel, and the grind all point that way.

Nice razor! :)

From the grind and shape I would have guessed German, but I am not familiar with the brand.

Do not know the brand or country of maker.

Good looking, well ground razor. Interesting pinning, hard to tell from the photos, do the pins look spun, a la Roberson & Case?

Why re-scale?

Be nice if it turned out to be Japanese, it really is a nice razor in hand & whoever made it really knew there stuff. Great grind & finish. Thanks for the input

Nice peening work but just the normal type, they are celluloid scales and I can't stand them to be honest. If I was to keep it I'd re-scale it and keep the original scales saved in a marked bag in case I wanted to move it on..

It fitted and finished to a high level, shame I can't find anything about it..

Thanks for your input.
