Antique store brush find - what do you think?

So I found this brush today in an antique store for $20.

Porcelain handle, made in England, could be hand painted but cant tell for sure. Its only pure badger, but has a nice feel. The brand appears to have been rubbed off. Can anyone identify it?

I didnt think it was a bad deal for $20.

Very nice find! Can't help much in the way of identifying it though. Congrats on such a nice find! Hopefully someone might be able to identify who made it.

It's a Rooney. Came in a set with a ceramic Atra handle I believe. Nice find

I'll second (or third) that it is a Rooney. I have one with a horse theme, that came with a matching scuttle. There are pictures of it around here somewhere. I've decided that I like them as showpieces, so I leave them out on display, having used them only once or twice.

I don't think so, but I'm not certain. I got mine on E-bay and I was the only bidder.

Too bad mine didnt come with the scuttle. I need to go back by the antique store where I got it and make sure its not there somewhere!

Wish I knew how old it was. This is my first one I have bought besides my Kent every day brush. This hobby could get expensive!

the problem with porcelain handles is that if you like to soak the brush in hot water, the handle gets too hot to hold!
