What's new

An Ever-Ready I have not seen before.

Just got this one in a bulk razor lot pics are pre clean and polishing.

1924 Ever-Ready, that is the most common handle, though I have seen them with the "art deco" handle used on the 1912. There is also a travel version with a short handle.

And the smoother (same handle no grip lathed on) chrome handle on mine.

edit: I thought it was a 1924 too, but guido says in the b&b link I posted it's a 1925?

So that is an ever-ready handle? I just picked up a Star DE (tech-style head) with that handle. Was thinking of trying it with an old-style Gillette head I have, but after putting a blade in it I think the old-style is more aggressive than I'm ready for.

Every reference I have seen has this design as a 1925 in the Ever-Ready. Here, on the other hand, is a 1930 Star De Luxe with the same design.

I have a copy of the patent from April 1,1924. #1,488,907.
Please, no jokes about Apr.1

Possibly they started manufacture before 1924 as the patent was applied for in 1922.
