Ok so heres my rant. I have been reading the different opinions of bowl latherers and face latherers and I have found I kind of have a hybrid of both combined. I usually start the lather in the bowl till I get a light foam. Then I will move it to the face to thicken it up all the while dipping the tips of the brush (BnB boar) in the water to keep it moist. As I do this I move between my face and the bowl. Once I make a pass I rethicken and remoisturize the lather in bowl. Then apply to the face. After A XTG pass I repeat the second step, and go for ATG. At the end I will usually pull what left of the cream or soap out of the brush and do cleanup and buffing. That seems to work for me and I pretty well enjoy the whole process...So I guess thats all that matters eh
. Anyways, cheers and I hope if anything this helps some newer gents find a bit of their own technique
