What's new

Am I the only one with "I can't just buy one" syndrome?

You have just tried a product or read raving reviews and you proceed to purchase it.

When finished, you have ordered not one but two or more.

I am interested in hearing your explanation of why this happens?

I live in a small town and sometimes when ordering, it pays to order multiples to reduce or sometimes eliminate shipping costs.

I too have fallen into this trap. Read such great reviews about Cella and next thing you know I ended up with the 1 kg block this week rather than the more modest 150g tubs...

I'm sorry, but you actually are the only one around here who does this. All the rest of us just order one of everything.

And then another one.

And then another one.

And then . . .

I too rationalize my purchases of mass quantities with the "saving on shipping" story.

Truth be told, I buy product by the dozen because I like to spread my multitudes of shaving supplies on the floor and roll around in them!

Harry, you are a hero to us all.

I do this. I wanted to try some Truefitt and Hill creams but when I saw what shipping was and how our discount helped on tub price, I bought the two I couldn't decide between. Kinda wishing I had gotten the Limes now too. I then said I was done and promptly made my way to the B/S/T and bought ShavelyManden's Lucky Tiger that he had for sale. Now i'm done....I swear your honor!

Okay, so I am a newbie, but I already have to fight the urge to order mass quantities of shaving supplies!

Maybe, subconsciously, one of these -

1) I want to lower the cost per item

or

2) once I find something I like & works for me, I fear that I may run out before the Shavepocalypse

or

3) I better get it now before it is discontinued and I cannot purchase it

I have used each and every one of those excuses in the past....... and I think plenty more besides :001_cool:

For me two things: it's cheaper to buy more (shipping. discounts aso) and I am never without, as I always have a spare or a stock.

BigFoot

I wanna be sedated!

I bet no one else smells quite like you Harry.

As Canadians we became used to calculating everything at nearly twice the price when we ordered from catalogues in the US, years ago when the 1$CDN was at 0.60$US. Now we're at parr ... so really ... I just buy two of everything cause one of them feels like it's free

But I still need all the other excuses above for having bought out most of Fendrihan.

Good review or not I only buy one then see what I make of it.

Often I wont buy another even if I like it such as Trumpers Limes as there are so many other flavours to try in due course.

Something like Proraso that I have only bought 1 tube of, when it runs out I will buy another. I Wouldnt want to be without a tube.
