I was cleaning my 37C slant and looked at the "teeth". They are really very deep (>1mm at the edge). This means that although the razor is not a true open comb it probably shaves about the same as a fully open comb version would. Any thoughts?

I don't know. I know I get great shaves from the slant.
Mmm, I didn't notice where the bar was finishing vs the edge of the blade... It does give great shaves!
Not really. An open comb is perfect for shaving full beards and the (relative minute) dents in the slant's bar just don't do the same thing. Nothing against the slant though; it is just that when I want to shave with an OC I take an OC and not the slant.
