Agressiveness and YMMV??

I am a bit confused since i am new to this. Is "mild" a feeling of cutting (process) or how close it cuts on a pass (result)?

Is "mild" a description of razor/blade combo be, if it gets very tight and close to the skin, but doesn't scrape.

I have felt a difference between a more open blade face and more closed just in technique, but is aggressive process more like scraping the skin? or angle of incidence like the slant conversation?

I see the technical description seems to be gap/blade protrusion, but i've felt scrape and thought that was what aggressive meant, but i was able to minimize that feeling on my razors because my angles were off, but i assume some razors may not allow a more closed angle.

so i guess my question really becomes is "aggressive like scrape?"

Scrape is a bad thing regardless of razor or blade.
Aggressiveness here is generally described as a combination / result of blade gap and blade exposure.
An "aggressive" razor is more likely to give you a cut with improper technique or angle than a "mild" razor.
Don't confuse mild to mean it won't cut close. Many people make that mistake and steer away from the famously mild Gillette Tech thinking it won't shave close, which is incorrect,.
