What's new

After two-three weeks, I've cracked the brush code

I ordered a silvertip brush, and I had some problems with lathering up. A whole new technique, as opposed to my Proraso Boar Brush. Now I've found a real good technique for lathering. I believe I pressed too hard in the bowl when lathering, so that the bristles were squeezed out - the same when applying the lather.

Conclusion: YAY:laugh:

Hmmmm I never thought of that. I've never really pressed badger too hard, I like the tips to do most of the action though. I guess if you press too hard, you will squeeze all of the water out that is being held in between the hairs. With boar, the hairs actually absorb the water, so it is a bit different.

With the badger brush, I press really hard to get good lather. With the badger brush, I think it's better for the lather as well as the brush, to rely on the tips doing the work.
