Adjustable ,a silly question

Hi ,my question is this: when you change the dial in a adjustable razor for example of 1 to 2 or any change,this change is with the doors open or not import if the doors are open or doors are closed?

Make sure you adjust with the doors slightly open otherwise you can strain the mechanism.

Doesn't matter. Just make sure the mechanism isn't totally locked down and you'll be fine.

Slightly or totally, doesn't matter. Just has to be enough to take the tension off.
