Adding Scents to Creams

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever added scents (e.g. essential oils) to a cream they thought was too mild? I've got a nearly full tub of T&H Authentic No.10. While I like the performance, the scent is a bit medicinal for me. I was thinking of sprucing it up with a couple drops of essential oils (citrus or mint most likely).

Anyone ever try this?

In very small amounts I mixed some Lavender with some unscented cream, came out very strong (I used too much probably).

I also have tried a few times (saw this on here, but it's not as prevalent as scenting soaps) where you lather up the cream in a mug, then put a drop or two (at most, these things are strong) into the mug.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I have a tub of eshave unscented that doesn't get a look in since I got the fragrance bug. Thinking of getting some lime essential oil to give it a new lease of life

Thank you sir. Now, off to pick a scent!

I will say this probably works best with a soap.

With a cream, once you test out the oil (make sure it doesn't irritate you, you like it etc.), do this by making a small amount, but then I would do at least a few ounces just because you only need/want 1-2 drops for that little, so I found making a realllly small amount, or putting it in the bowl, was a bit strong (at least for the essential oils since that is very strong, but I don't know what synthetics are like).

Good luck, I have a lot of fun with this. People scent their pre-shave oil (I'm making my own but I find even menthol in it sometimes messes with my shave lather scent and that annoys me).
I already scent my witch hazel since I found the scent annoying, so there is a lot to use this for :)

I stick a couple of drops of Ogallala cologne in everything I think needs zinging up.
It works for me, especially in an Erasmic hard soap bowl. About a teaspoon does it for me.
