An uncle of mine mentioned he had this old razor on Thanksgiving day. When I saw him Christmas he brought it along, the man is 75 and remembered to pack it, god bless. Hoping for a Fat Boy it turned out to be a Rolls Razor, mint condition. The box is as if it came from Gimbles complete with instructions, all good to go. I am not sure how to use it or even what it's for, although I have seen them on my hunts at antique stores in the past. Just wish I could have gotten to him before he threw out the "Old Ivory Shaving Brushes" he had. DOH!

Congratulations, that is a fine looking Rolls. You may want to check out the Roll Razor Social Group here at B&B. You'll find a link at the bottom of my post.

When brought back to new condition the Rolls gives a shave comparable to a straight Razor. Many of the members in the RRSG use both the Rolls and a Straight blade.

Thanks for posting the photos, that is a mint case. hard to find one in such good shape.

Regards: john

I apologize for doing this, just noticed it had not been posted yet.

I'd like to take the opportunity to be the first to post in this thread.

Gift from Barcochris!

Forum member barcochris (Chris) and myself have become very close friends over the past couple of years. I hold him in high regard and feel like he is a long lost brother. We first met in a cigar forum in which Chris was a moderator. The forum disolved so Chris, myself, forum member craigmontgomery, and forum member RUkelvin, formed our own cigar forum. We harass each other daily via email. It is not uncommon for me to have an inbox of over 100 email a day from these guys. It is a ton of fun and these guys kept me smiling through my darkest hours several months ago.

So Chris and I regularly send cigars and shaving stuff back and forth to each other. Besides my wife, I probably talk to Chris on the phone more than any other person. There are five of us that have planned a late March meet-up in Vegas.

At any rate, every year we do a Secret Santa amoungst 6 of us from the cigar forum. Chris drew my name and this is the awesome result!!! Thank you, my Brutha from a different mutha!

Picked these up at the antique mall yesterday and gave them a good cleaning. A 1915 "old type" pocket edition (id courtsey of fellow members) and a 1965 "slim" adjustable date code K2. Id Unfortunately, my photo skills are quite lacking.
